A dry cork simply means that the cork has lost some of its moisture and elasticity over time, often due to storage conditions or age. While this can make the cork more brittle and harder to remove, it does not affect the quality of the wine inside—the seal remains intact, and the wine is perfectly fine to drink. Because a dry cork is more likely to crumble or break when using a traditional corkscrew, we recommend using a pressure cork remover.
