Shipping & Delivery

We ship anywhere in the continental United States. Shipping is calculated at checkout from your order total and how far the parcel has to travel.

What shipping costs

Zone 1 is Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Colorado, Tennessee and Alabama — the states closest to our Rowlett warehouse.

Zone 2 is every other state in the continental United States.

Shipping is charged once per order, not per item. Your basket names the zone and the band it has used, so you can always see how the figure was arrived at, and your exact cost is shown before you pay.

Chilled and frozen items

Pies, boerewors and our other frozen products ship in an insulated cooler with dry ice, on a three-day service. The cooler, the dry ice and the gel packs are included in the price — there is nothing extra to add and no extra charge.

Biltong and chocolate in hot weather

Biltong and chocolate are not frozen, but they do not travel well in a hot truck. During extreme heat we ask you to add a Shipping Cooler to orders containing them, and we dispatch those orders early in the week so that no parcel sits in a warehouse over a weekend.

You will see a prompt in your basket when this applies. The cooler is a product you add yourself — we never add anything to your basket for you.

Wine and spirits

Alcohol orders carry a $9.35 signature fee. This is not our charge: UPS requires an adult signature on delivery for every alcohol shipment, and the fee covers exactly what they charge us for it.

Someone aged 21 or over must be present to sign. If nobody is available the carrier will re-attempt delivery, and a parcel that cannot be delivered may be returned to us. Alcohol ships only to addresses within Texas.

Delivery times

Orders are usually dispatched within one to two business days. Once collected, most parcels arrive within two to five business days depending on distance; chilled orders travel on a three-day service.

Delivery estimates come from the carrier and are not a guarantee. We cannot control weather, carrier delays or incorrect addresses.

Getting your address right

Please double-check your address at checkout. Carriers charge a correction fee for addresses they have to fix, and a parcel sent to the wrong address may not be recoverable — particularly a chilled one.
